Now, I was tired when watching this film… So tired I probably fell asleep for like five minutes in the middle of it once. I was at a party, we watched movies, went on a creepy bushwalk and we got to sleep at like 2AM.
So the next afternoon I watched Get Out, and It’s good. But I didn’t love it. It’s got a good story. It’s awesome that we’re watching a horror movie about RACISM here. This guy makes other horror films, Us which I absolutely LOVE and Nope which I haven’t seen and they are all so original. I mean, I’m pretty sure Nope is original. Nope is original, right?
I mean, highlights of this film is the part where it looks like he kills those two people. The hypnotizing, obviously. I don’t find this movie scary at all, and heaps of it is boring but it is a solid 6.5 out of 10
I got the numbers wrong, I’ve seen 75 horror movies. My last post said sixty-four. Sorry!
I love this movie! In my opinion, it’s unlike most horror films because I actually found it scary! Good jumpscares, it was so scary. The soundtrack is so good. The storyline is so original. It’s a beautiful shot film. It’s a modern classic in my eyes! It’s a top 10 horror film and top 20 movies of all time! Now, I know, I’m sounding way to generous, but MY GOD THIS FILM WAS EXCELLENT. Now, It is no way top 5 and it’s probably not top 10, top 15 more like.
Things like The Shinning, OG Scream, Child’s Play, Nightmare On Elm Street, 2017 It are better and better examples of top 10 horror films, but oh my god this movie is sooo awesome. Those red suits. YUCK! It makes you feel uncomfortable, and I love that. A horror movie that makes me scared is incredible because I can easily tell my self ‘Eh! Freddy Krueger’s not real! But I love this movie anyway!’
And I can do that with most films, but this COULD be real. Not the part about them looking like the family, but the part about the red costumes and sneaking in there house. Oh, I won’t spoil it, but the twist at the end is so confusing but awesome. NO ONE could have guest it. Don’t lie that it’s predictable!
I mean, no where near as good as Halloween I, obviously. DUH!
Not as good as Halloween II, better than Halloween III (Because halloween 3 was straight up GARBAGE) and better than Halloween IV by a little. I’m not even gonna bother watching Halloween V and the remakes, because aparently the series goes down hill fast.
But, this movie felt like a requal. Reboot, sequal. Scream V made that up in the new film. I mean, I like this film but it doesn’t really need to excist. It’s just Michael Myers, killing a bunch of people. Meanwhile the old gang try to defeat him again, and they don’t do anything for most of it. They just say random stuff like ‘THIS ENDS TONIGHT!’ Or whatever the old man says 🤣
In Halloween II it was ‘I SHOT HIM SIX TIIIIMES!’
Solid 6 out of 10, just above mid. Nothing bad, nothing awesome. Nothing more, nothing less.
